I searched and didn't find an answer so...

I have a new winch and bow roller/stop on the way for my trailer. (the old one's gears are mashed up and the stop is cracked) I'm going to replace it with the boat on the trailer in the garage. Any tips or tricks anyone would care to share? Thanks.
