What type of gasket sealer can I use between the waterpump impeller plate and the gearcase.... I scraped the old one off and it seems there is no longer a gasket made for this.... My local OMC/BRP dealer said don't use anything but my factory manual says use a sealer that isn't avalialbe to me..... What can I get at an auto parts store that will work.... Evinrude model # 50473m 1974 50HP..... Many Thanks

Blue RTV would work fine.

or find the 3M #847 sealer, that is the old Type M or Sealer 1000
