    Re-Paint a Trailer

Hey guys not looking to re-paint the trailer myself, but was hoping some of you may be able to estimate how much it would cost to repaint a 1992 EZloader trailer for my 16 foot Skeeter, a single axle trailer, believe the trailer would be about 19 foot in length from back to front of tongue. Just hoping I can get an a rough estimate on how much it may cost.

    Re: Re-Paint a Trailer (MetsFan9)

most any body shop would be able to do it but if it was me do like I done got to wally world buy some good paint primer paint and clear and just do it your self.....sand the trailer to scuff it up use some wax and grease remover on it and go to town shouldnt take more than a day to do it including drying time.....takes about 15-20 mins per coat to do it........I know its just a temp fix.....most likely wont last for more than a season but if you get any rock chips in it its wasy to cover them up...........total cost when i done it was about 50 bucks

    good luck

Thanks for the tip, but not looking to do it myself. Would rather pay the money to have it done the right way once rather than every season.

You consider putting linex on the whole thing?

    Re: Re-Paint a Trailer (MetsFan9)

I had a tandem axle Champion trailer powder coated a few years ago. I think I paid about $500 with the sand blasting and coating. The pain was removing all of the lights, wiring, jack, etc. They do have to bake it once its coated and I had some brake lines fail from the heat so all in all, it was probably a $650 job. The paint quotes I got were well in excess of this.
