    adding a second axle

Has anyone ever tried this and done it successfully? I know it'd be easier to wait and buy a new boat with the two axles but I plan to drive long distances with the boat I have now and I don't feel as comfortable as i would if it had 2 axles. I have a 294 Pro XL 19.6 foot boat. I have seen both 1 and 2 axle trailers towing these around so the manufacturer had to do it. It looks to me like they took the normal 1 axle trailer and just added the second one behind it. Anyone know about this? I know the wheels are positioned at a certain mathematical position to balance the weight of the boat the best, but when they add the second axle do they therefore move that point in between the two axles so that they balance each other out, or is it simply the second set acts as more of a of crap type of thing as well as a lot more, but simply put that's what i want it to do.

If you have done it any chance of getting some pictures? I have the resources to do the welding and "body" work to make it look nice but I really need to know the mathematics behind the wheels if there really is any after the first axle is installed.
