1997 Chevy Suburban 4X4, recently had remote lock/alarm installed by Chevrolet dealer, now when I use the flat pin connector for trailers (boat/utility/pwc) as soon as turn on lights, blows fuse for tail/brake lights... unless I put in a 30 amp, then no problem. (I know not to do this, but when you are no where near a parts store and it is midnight and the fuse kit in the tool box only has 5 or 10 or 30 amp fuses......).Originally thought this was just a short on the boat trailer, but checked the wiring and found nothing wrong. I then tried my other trailers and got the same result. However, if I hook up the lights using the seven pin connector and an adapter, no blown fuse. Can't see where remote lock/alarm was wired into light circuit and dealer says no way they would have used a light circuit. Am baffled at this issue, anybody got a suggestion?

Thanks,

Flynn
