    Leaf springs

Some help please? I have a 199 Champ 203. It weighs around 2800 lbs. including everythig but the trailer, I think. I want to replace the mono leaf springs with some multi leaf springs. Dual axle by the way, with brakes. Does each of the multi leaf springs have to be rated to carry around 750 lbs? I found some at a local RV dealership that I think might work. Any problems with using such? Thanks in advance. JT

Go to http://www.easternmarine.com and their website will tell you how to determine the springs you have and how to replace them. Its a pretty easy do-it-yourself and eastern marine can have them on your door step in a matter of days. I have used them for replacement springs on two trailers.

My 2001 EZ Loader trailer springs were changed under a recall. I didn't even know there was a recall till I was on their web site looking for something else this past fall. Great people @ EZ Loader. Check with your trailer maker.. If not, break out the ole pocket book.....Good luck.
