    Trailer brake problem

My trailer brake have stopped working. I thought they may be needed to be bled but when I went to bleed them it seems the piston does not return to the forward position without pulling it forward with a pair of plyers. The reservior is full and even manually pulling the piston back it doesn't seem to be taking any fluid with the bleed port open.

    What does this mean?

Any suggestions on further diagnostic or a solution would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.
