    coyotes

Anybody on here hunt them in the midwest with e-callers. If so are you having any luck? Whats your favorite sound? Mine has been the cottontail on an old fox pro but im kind of in a drought here lately.

    Re: coyotes (wildmanII)

I just bought a .22-250 to use on them. I'm hoping to get started soon. I've been practicing on my mouth calls, looking into getting an E-caller. I've been looking on hunting sites and several around here are whacking them now. Supposed to really heat up these next two months due to breeding season. Good luck, hope you start bagging them.

The fawn bleat on the FP Spitfire has worked, but my best luck has been with a closed reed cottontail or fawn bleat blown with passion.

The lightning jack sound is works best down here for me. I also like the Les johnson hand calls.
Kinda up in the air on the mojo decoy. seams like I get more with out it.

On a loosing streak right now- can't seem to buy a dern dog. Cottontail closed reeds seem to work best. The only thing my FoxPro calls in is crows.
