Can anyone help me with information on hunting the LBL during archery season. I am from out of state, Va, and looking to hunt Western Ky. A weeks hunting lease may be a possibility if anyone has property to hunt.
Thanks,
Jeff

deer densities are very low at lbl. they are the spookiest, hardest hunted deer i have ever seen. however, i have killed some deer there and have killed a nice buck and seen a few nice bucks while hunting. very frustrating to hunt there. it is more like hunting in the big north woods than just across the lakes in the farm country. you will have to scout your tail off and stay away from other hunters. if you are not there in november it will be double tough. good luck.

You may want to consider some late season bowhunting. They open up some previously closed refuge areas to bowhunting and I've seen many have great success during this time period. Usually by that late in the season, you have the woods to yourself.
