What spotting scope do you recommend?

I am looking for a spotting scope for use at the range. I normally shoot 100 yards but will shoot up to 300 yards. I have looked at all kinds at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s online and read the reviews; however, the reviews vary greatly and are contradictory. I am unsure if the quality is varying from scope to scope or if it is just different perceptions and expectations. I do not want to spend more than about $200.00 as I am only using it for seeing my target and bullet holes up to 300 yards. If you have had good luck with a particular brand and scope, please give me your opinion. Thank you.

I like Burris myself....good bang for your buck with them. If you get an ultra cheap spotting scope you won't see much other than the haze from the range.

This one fits your under $200 criteria and is a good spotting scope

The only possible hangup is I don't see it listed as coming with a tripod, they used to buy I'm not sure they still do.

Natchez is also an excellent company to do business with...great prices and fast shipping.
