Leveling a scope

I saw a great tip on another board the other day that I'm passing on here in case anybody wants to try it. To level your scope when mounting it on the rifle, stand 10 feet or so back from a mirror and look through your scope, rotate the scope until the vertical crosshair is inline with the center of the rifle's bore and tighten it up. Your scope is now level to the rifle. It is such a simple trick but one I never thought about until I read it, now it will be my new goto technique for leveling scopes the easy way

No that's the beauty of doing it this way, you could hold your gun at a 45 degree angle and your scope would still be leveled correctly. It's not possible to mess up doing it this way, it's going to be on the centerline of the bore for sure.
