get out ther with whatever you can. when youre hooked for sure, save up and get a matthews, you wont be sorry........they are quiet ,fast, deer killing machines.........![]()
Yorks are nice bows. But there are better bows out there. Like already said give it a try then save up and buy a Hoyt.
May your catch be plentiful, but not as plentiful as mine!
I had a York compound. I would not hesitate to get another. After you make the killin shot, you can't tell if it was shot with a York,Mathews,PSE, or what I traded my York for, a Martin Hatfield recurve. If you can afford it, go for it! Learn to shoot and when you really get hooked( and you will), save up and buy a newer bow that fits YOU. Get out and enjoy what GOD has given us to enjoy. <>< del

Thank you for all of the advice, I am going to buy it for sure.
jmo............try and get it to a pro-shop prior to paying just to have it looked over and make sure it will "fit" you. york used to put out a good bow. if you like it and want to get more modern, don't get all tied up into the fanboy crap. shoot as many as you can and buy what you like best. there are alot of good bows out there, but customer service from the dealer and manufacturer are where it's at
