Ok, the Rifle is a 270win Tikka T-3 stainless.
I'm looking at replacing the scope on this rifle and want to keep the cost around $700.00 or so. I went by a local sporting good store and looked at two modles.
1. Khales. (3.5 X 10 X 50) This scope is on sale for just over $700.00. Owner says that it is the last one in stock and they will not carry this brand anymore. He is telling me that this particular model is the last one made by Swarovski and the new models will have a different maker.

2. Zeiss conquest. (3 X 9 X 50) This scope is a little less expensive than the Khales

He had good things to say about both scopes, but said the Khales was a much better lens since it was made by Swarovski. I looked through both scopes and really could not tell the difference but if anything, I thought the Zeiss was the clearer of the two. I definatly liked the reticle of the Zeiss better. Of course it was in the middle of the day.

I only deer hunt and rarely shoot over 150 yards with most shots under 100yards. Clearity is very important as we always hunt in the woods and very rarely hunt fields. I have decided on a 1" tube and want the 50 mm objective.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I know there are some guys on here that hunt religously and know about this stuff.
