Took some time off last week as the birds were here and you have to smoke em if you got em...this time of year waterfowl is all that is on my mind and the last week has been pretty solid.
Monday afternoon-16 green and 4 drake pintails in about an hour.
Thursday Morning-4 man limit of nothing but mallards.
Headed to the goose house Thursday night and we rocked them pretty good Friday morning. 7 man limit of Canadas and 3 specks, out of the field before 8. Could've stayed and shot specks, but chose to get out and scout instead.
Killed another 33 Saturday morning, but they got chopped up before we took any pictures.
This morning was a good one. Chose to go after specks and found the right field. Shot an easy 11 man limit of specks and quite a few Canadas as well. Oh yeah, one of those Canadas was banded as well. Pretty rare for the little fellas out west.
The season couldn't be off to a better start, hope it continues.
