I just bought a used 1994 Javelin 379 fish and ski with an Evinrude 150. Everything on the boat is pretty nice and clean looking, and the thing runs/works great, except for the steering. It has hydraullic steering, and every once in a while it is hard to turn to one side or the other. It feels like something is litteraly blocking the motor from turning left or right. I checked to see if something was in the way and it does not look like there is anything physically blocking it. When I first took out the boat (I just got it the other day), it would not turn all the way to the right, later in the day it would turn right just fine and then it did not want to turn fully left. The shafts on the hydraullic system seem a little sticky/gummy like they need cleaned off when I looked at them. How do I check/replace the fluid? When it does turn everything seems really smooth until it gets to the side where it does not want to turn. For ahile no right turns, then right was fine and no left turns... Wierd, I would think it would be constantly sticky. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks. -Todd
