dribble a little oil on the posts, it wil dissolve the corrosion and keep it from coming back

Just wipe off the battery terminals of any crust. An easy way to do so is to use some baking soda and water. Use a wire brush to clean the crust using this solution. Rinse.

I coat all of my battery terminals with white lithium grease, i actually have it in a spray can. Oil or any petroleum based product will work.

There is also something called "dielectric grease" that every man should have in his toolbox.

I've done the penny thing, a little grease on the bottom to hold them in place a few inches away from the posts.

Find some SuperLube, its an die-electric grease(clear) that I use on everthing-lights, electric conects, wires, sparkplug boots, use it in my reels too, battery terminals(cars, trucks, boats). Find that SuperLube and don't look back.
