Useful things to carry in your boat.

This is from the General Bassboat forum. Thought it would go well here. Thanks to all the guys who posted on this. I'm sure they don't mind me putting it in here.

Here's the list. Some goes in the boat, some in the truck. All good to have.

    Extra tow vehicle key
    Extra boat keys
    Registration
    Cell phone
    Spare drain plug
    Anchor
    Flashlight
Extra TM prop and shear pins along with a TM prop wrench
Spare prop& wrench washer, spacer and castle nut
Small/simple toolkit (keep in boat all times) – Incl screwdrivers, duct tape, electrical tape, adj wrench, pliers, cable ties, whistle, soft brush+coathanger wire for clearing water intake on motor.
Wire, splices and electrical tape can save a trip. A 12V test light is pretty handy, too.
Wire crimpers fuses, voltmeter.Extra bulbs for nav lights.
    Short set of jumper cables
Rope (some for anchor, some for tying up, some for launching solo)
Spare rope for trolling motor release
    Fenders for docking
Rag to clean up fuel spills at the pump
Usually keep some trailer repair items
    2 pair of sunglasses
    Clear safety glasses
Type IV throw cushion w/ 50ft of small cord tied on
    2 more vest PFDs
    Bungie cord

    Cheap radio.
    First aid kit, including ASPIRIN
Make sure your fire extinguisher is charged and in working condition
Block of wood...hard to change out a prop if you have nothing to keep it from turning while you remove/install it
    Spare kill switch!!!!!!!
Cabelas sells a universal unit with lanyard Item:IJ-014621 this is what I have in my glove box.
    Paddle
Toilet paper / paper towels; small hand cleaner
Extra trailer wiring adapter in the tow vehicle
Four-way that will fit the lug nuts on your trailer
It's also handy to have a bottle jack and a small piece of wood to set the jack on where you don't have to unpack your truck to get to a jack
Sharp pocketknife and or a sharp pair of scissors, finger nail clippers.
    Spare Tire for the trailer
Greaese gun w grease (can keep in truck) in case you need to grease the hubs.

these were all suggestions from other people on what they carry. It's just a comprehensive list that you can pick and choose what is most important for you. It has a lot of stuff that a new boater might not think of.
