When using the trim, the motor won`t stay up, is this normal?

Hey guys, my grandfather gave me his boat its a little old but its in great condition but for some reason if not locked the motor won't stay up. I don't see any leaks in the hydraulics - is this normal?

No sounds like an internal seal leaking through.. Probably can get it rebuilt. Congrats on the new to you boat Louis

Trim motor is bad or has a leak like the above poster said. Can be fixed no problem and you will be scooten along
