98 Vinicator idle issues

i have my 200 hp 1998 vindicator that i thought was having problems with the carbs , so i built them last fall. but it seems as though i have the same problem. it stumbles upon takeoff. if i just goose it really fast i can go. but if i try and just slowly accelerate it will die. any thoughts .....recirc hoses ?? or just idle up ???? thanks for the help .... BTW Seahorse ....cant you take a look at this if i bring it to you ?????? can you post the part number for the re-circ valves and how many i need?? and /or any gaskets ... thanks again guys

Try this, run the motor at idle on the muffs, let it get to temp. Trim the motor down as far as you can and listen to the motor and watch the tach, trim the motor up the rpms should increase and you can hear the difference in the motor too. If you can hear/see the changes then the recirc valves should be serviced. There are 6 of them and they screw into the intake manifold. Just follow the hoses from the cylinder side of the block. Soak them in isoprophly alcohol overnight in a aluminum pan. They are a one way check valve. Take a small wire brush and gently clean the screens on the ends. If you can blow air through both sides it needs to be replaced.

will do . BTW i looked at the diagram and it shows 6- recirculating check valves ( 0436194) @ 14.97 each and then 6- check valve assembly (0436385 ) @ 19.37 each. i assume its the recirc only ...??? thanks again

pulled all 6 of them and had a couple bad. i also figured since i had it down i'd take the intake off and check the valves in the crankcase( booger to get out ) they are all soaking right now. will try them again tomorrow and let you know . thanks again
