Can someone tell me how to remove the oil injection on a 96 Johnson faststrike?

Unhook the oil line going into the VRO pump and cap it off with the black rubber cover at the oil fitting. Plug the oil line with the yellow plastic plug, zip tie both. Unhook the 4 wire harness from the VRO pump and the tan and black wire that is in the port side belly pan for the oil tank. Mix your gas at 50:1 gas to oil. Better make sure you know how much fuel you have in the tank. That is going to be critical for adding your oil. Don't want to under estimate on that. Think your VRO is bad?

No just starting to get some age on it. I would rather know oil is in it than not.

Do you have system check? You could always leave it connected and add a pint to 12 gallons. If the fittings have metal clips held on by torx screws you have the new style pump. The fuel side is more apt to go out than the oil side. Just a thought.
