    Just looking for a ballpark,

Wife and I are thinking about re-modeling our bathroom, it is kinda small, 10x8 looking to have new tile put down, pull bathtub and put large shower in and put new counter stye sink. Apex what would I be looking at $$ wise?

There are a lot of variable here such has how expensive the tile you pick out is, what kind of faucets, countertop material, etc. etc.

Are you going to be doing the work or hiring it out? Makes a big difference also.

That would probably be a good ballpark figure but I would think it could be done cheaper. Don't be afraid to shop around. There are a TON of hungry contractors. I am by no means use the cheapest one you find but lots of good guys are doing things a lot cheaper than they used to.

yeah it really depends on what your talking about doing........I heard yanking tub and making a shower bigger which to me = moving framing= huge PITA if its an older home........also curious if this is first floor or second floor, on slab or not, is toilet moving and are sinks? any windows to deal with

It's a ranch with basement, no windows, and toilet is staying wher it is. As for shower, I want the same size just remove tub and tile?? I have a couple guys coming out end of week. I am quickly beginning to think my thoughts of kitchen and bathroom for $25k are not going to happen.

It is almost impossible for us to price without seeing it and labor/materials are going to vary greatly also. But I just can't imaging $25K not touching a kitchen and bath remodel unless what you are wanting is something VERY elaborate. THEN in would get out of sight very quickly.

I would think you can get close..........depends on what your calling kitchen? are appliances also included (cause that could be as high as 10-15K right there, granite counter tops, new cabinets) I could take the exact same layout/floor plan and spend as little as 10K-15K or I could spend 75K+.........it all depends on how crazy you get........heated tile floors $25 cabinet pulls and hinges hell I could spend 1,500-2000 just on kitchen sink with faucet and garage disposal

well if your bored and feel like emailing them to me go for it I will give my free 2 cents worth..........might be able to point out some easy ways to save some money or might not but I have done it it a few hundred times so you never know ......if your not bored good luck and never be afraid to ask for further clarification or to spell everything out clearly up front including a what if scenario just in case..........they work for you so don't think you have accept something your not happy with, if you are there to catch it before its over......once its over its only gets harder to do anything about it
