just got the commander tach/system check gauge. It is a BRP gauge made by faria and has the hookup for the fuel flow sensor. Does anyone run these gauges? Wondering on the setup what I need to use for my Tac setting. How many pulses per rev do my engine have? I was thinking it is 6 pulses per rev
By the way, motor is a 2002 250HP BRP Ficht

just to clarify, in the manual, it list a table
Tac 5 = six pulses per rev (12 pole alternator on outboard)
Tac 6 = eight pulses per rev (not used)
Are you saying to use the tac 6 setting, or use the 6 pulse setting which translates to the Tac 5 setting
Actually I am not familiar with the Commander gauge from Faria. But I do know that the normal pole setting is 6 for most tachs. If that is what it calls for in the manual then by all means set it to that. If it doesn't work then contact Faria.
