Is my prop slipping or something else?

I have an 04 TR186 with an 04 Johnson 175, Raker II 24P prop (more info if needed), the past few trips out, my boat seems to have developed a small "Hiccup". This happens when at full throttle getting on pad and when flat out running for a few minutes, then fine. Can fish most of the day without problems, then starts it again. I'm not noticing any changes in the rpms or the voltage. I've contacted my local shops, and they all say something different... from fuel, to prop slip, stator going bad, to something electrical. I'm hoping it's something I can do myself, cause I've had a few bad experiences with my local shop just replacing parts till the problem is fixed and still charging for parts replaced that weren't bad. Any advice or ideas on how to check for all these? Thanks in advance.

Prop slip will be more evident when getting on plane...IE.... it will rev up while not gaining speed. I'm thinking something else, if it helps it sounds minor.

possible a loose plug or one fouling out ,could be moisture in gas.

TN Triton I am having the exact same issue on my Johnson 115. It happened this summer and i changed the plugs and it went away for a while. This past weekend it did it again a couple of times. When i throttle back it runs great. My mechanic said it could be the power pack beginning to fail. Hard to diagnose something that doesn't happen very often. Hopefully get some more answers in this thread.
