    1988 jhonson gt 150 stlcca

    my motor came with the 35 amp stator can i use a 9 amp?

    not only that but you would need a new flywheel and a new upper bearing housing because the of the differences in size between the 2 stators.

    Going back to CM's answer, why? If you think it would save a buck or two, you would be mistaken.
