    Ram Mount Base

I wanted to set my unit up next to my computer so instead of buying a 2.25 Ram Mount Base; I found a decorative wood Large Craft Finial, next to the wood dowel rods, at Lowes. I cut the point of the top off it and I then had a round ball just a little over 2 inch’s. I screwed that into my top of my tackle storage cabinet and my Ram Mount fits great. Total cost for 2 Base's was just under 2 bucks.

    Re: Ram Mount Base (410th)

That sir is awesome! I don't have a dedicated top to mount mine on, but may put one on a board I could clamp to my desk when I want to play.

One more question, what do you use for the 12v power?

I am trying to figure something out now, thinking about a lawn mower battery. I have a few old finders that I am going to play around with first.

They use to sell 12 volt power supplies that plugged into 110v so you could bring a mobile CB radio in the house and use for a base station. May try Radio Shack or some old CB'er and find one.
