I'm sure there's no good solution, but does anyone have any tips to keep the bugs away during these hot summer nights when running the black lights? Tired of cleaning off the bug grave yard after every outing.

not that i use one, but if you put a thermacell on your boat you won't have any problems.![]()
Therma-cell is the best thing since sliced bread but it won't work for the gnats and bugs he is talking about.
Keep it waxed and BBS on your hull. That should make clean up easier.
Turn the lights off, or don't come off plane. I've never found anything else that would work. LED lights don't even help either.

Eat a handful of them when the rest see you do that they will leave you alone.![]()
take a dryier sheet from the laundry room and put it under your light and one in your hat while fishing and it will keep the bugs away and a better nite fishing and not swating bugs
We use a cool small citronella candle on the deck. It's in a metal can, has a lid, and keeps the bugs away all night long.
As for being underway, nothing will stop the bugs from whacking the boat.
