Most of us have a couple dozen old spinnerbaits we don't use for various reasons. Either the wires have been bent, the blades are dull or the swivels no longer swivel.

Here's an idea I just came up with to salvage those old spinnerbaits. Convert them to chatterbaits! As I was doing some searches online to see if anyone else had tried this, I found someone who's done essentially that but with a new lure. They charge $6.99 for the lure. So here's a photo to show you what to do. You simply cut the wire down, bend it with round needlenose and put a chatterbait type blade on it with the hardware.
