Cordless rotary tool works great as a hook sharpener...

I used a dremmel for several years and it rusted up getting wet too many times... So I bought this one for $20.00 when it was on sale and it lasts alot longer per charge and has a light for night time sharpening. Great bang for the buck having the bits and all included. I bought mine locally at a retail store. Look and see if you have one near by>>> http://www.harborfreight.com/c...s.taf

I wonder if you could cut the plug off of this one, add a cig plug and use it on your boat accesory 12v outlet? Hmmm. I might look into this one..

Excellent tool to have around...amazing how many different accessories they offer for these little units. Good tip for hook sharpening!

I just came back from the HF store and bought the 12V model for $6.29 on sale with all the bits etc... I put on a cig plug and it works like a charm... $7.00 for a hook sharpener w/o having to re-charge any batts.

The Berkley spooling station I received as a gift came with a battery operated spool stripper/hook sharpener. But without that I suppose I would be breaking out the dremmel. A hand file is just too tedious that I'll forgo shapening my hooks, even when I know they need it.
