    Baby Monitor in Boat...

When you are staying at the motel on your next tourney, take a baby monitor and place it under the driver cowling. Take the reciever part into the hotel with you. You will hear if anyone gets into your boat.
I have used one for the past year or so, both the reciever and base have re-chargeable batteries and a distance of up to 150' or better.

That's a good idea Davy....You should get (2) sets though. Put one receiver in the boat too. That way you could scare the cr@# out of any guys just hanging around near your boat just shooting the bull, and keeping you awake!

Just holler out something like....HEY! I'm trying to sleep in here!
I bet that would be pretty funny to watch.

Wow great idea, might be other uses as well, maybe when we are camping and the boat is parked on the bank at night.

Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

Re: Baby Monitor in Boat... (blckshp55)

when i go fishing i get my boat out of storage the night before and leave it parked on the street in front my house the night before. i've thought of using a baby monitor to make sure nonbody messes around with the boat.

are there any other simple security ideas people use?

i don't keep any tackle or rods in the boats but i worry about someone taking my prop, tm, or misc stuff.

While having the boat parked at the motel, place a baby monitor in the boat so you can hear what is going on, while you are in your room. That and a lock-r-bar seems to work well.

Someone posted this idea over two years ago on this site. I guess it was a good idea then too!
