I have discovered a clear vinyl electrical tape, the only name on it is on the inside cardboard core and that is 'SA'
I wrap the lower 5 or 6" in front of the foregrip where the hook keeper is and my rod is protected from scratches from the hook points and metal bills. Another benefit of this wrap is that you can still see through it to see what the model number of the rod is.............G
