I ran out of BassBoatSaver last fall and was not past anywhere to get any, so I made my own. I am not saying that this is as good as BBS, because it is not, but it does work amazingly well.
Buy a jug of the spray-on wax for car's that has the garden hose hook-up on top of the bottle. I use my BBS bottle and put 4oz. of wax to 12oz. of water. I use the turtle wax brand, but I think any brand will work. I only used this brand because Wal-Mart had it on clearance for $2.50/bottle. This makes a very cheap spray for cleaning up the boat. It works with water still on the boat, or after it dries. I use it on the fiberglass, vinyl and cleaning stains in the carpet, just like BBS does, only cheaper.... I am not saying to stop buying BBS. I know those guys and would never say that, this is just a cheap alternative to not have to use as much.
I also use it after I wash the wifes car at the carwash. I drive it back home and detail it with this spray in the garage. Her car is dark red and it has no swirl marks when I use it. I cleaned her's up the first of the week and it was still beading water today...
