My boat has a white hull and my back always kills me after wiping it down to remove the scum line and anything else that decided to stick to it that day. Since it's a 21 footer, for me to reach the centerline of the hull, I have to hang onto the top cap and squeeze in between the boat and trailer to get it all cleaned. And of coarse there are the areas between the bunk boards that I could never reach.

Well, I found a cure for my aching back at, of all places, Wally-World in the automotive department. I can't remember the exact name of it, but will try to discribe:

It looks like a miniture dustmop with a 3-scetion retractable handle, a 4-way swivel head assembly and a removable cloth cleaning pad (atcually there are two in the kit). The kit cost me a little over $9.00 and I can clean and wipe down the entire boat, including the areas I could never reach before, in 2-3 minutes. The removable cleaning pads can be tossed in the laundry and cleaned with my fishing clothes. No more aching back and no more soured, smelly towels to stink up my Tahoe.

It's the best $9 I ever spent. I've noticed them around at some of the auto parts places too, so finding one should be easy.
