I have a 2006 E-tec 150 Model E150DPLSU Serial # 05165345 that has an intermittent starting issue. Sometimes the motor starts fine one quick turn and it starts. I can run down the lake ten miles and turn it off to fish then turn it on again to move spots and it starts up fine. I can do this 3, 4 ,5 times but then it just doesn't start. I found that the fuel bulb is very soft and by pumping it a little and cranking again I can start it up and will run fine the rest of the day. When I pump the bulb it smells like it's flooded but I can manage to get the motor started. The first 10 -20 seconds it sounds rough but then it's back to sounding fine. When I turn the key and it goes through the system checks it sounds like the fuel pump is turning on. I do notice that when this happens I sometimes only get a click when I turn the key. When I try it again it tries to turn over. Could my starter be going bad? Or is the fuel pump on its way out? I'd take it to the dealer but it doesn't happen repeatedly. Any ideas? Thanks
