dont know how many know about doin this but it works pretty good

take the rod and attach lure or hook to reel or hook keeper
take rod in one hand and line in the other
pull line away from the rod turn the rod so the line wraps around the rod
take and hook the line on one side of 2 guides to hold the line in place
when you go to take and undo it all grab the part of the line that is on the one side of the guides and take the rod in the other hand and pull the line and the rod turns and unwraps its self

kind of hard to describe but it can keep all your rods from tangling up when in the locker
