I hid/ fixed some of the scratches that I had in my boat with epoxy and clear tape. I bought some clear 5 minute epoxy ( comes in a syringe) that has an add on tip that premixes it when it's squeezed out. It has the smallest pin hole in it so it's easy to control the flow. I just used some clear 3M packing tape.
First you've got to clean all the wax and crud out of the scratch, a tooth brush works good. Second just run the tiniest amount of epoxy along the scratch. Third press the clear tape over top of it and work the epoxy into the scratch with your fingers, the epoxy won't stick to the tape- even when cured. Finally, after the scratch is filled I peel the tape back off before the epoxy starts to set so it will cure smoothe and crystal clear. Remember you don't have much time to work with the stuff. Also, you just need enough epoxy to fill the scratch, just the smallest pin point amount will work.
