suggestions on wiring bluewater lights in my enclosed trailer

I just bought some bluewater led lights. I have two 8' strangs to wire up. I do not want to wire them direct to my trailer lights as I would have to modify a bunch of stuff.

I would rather have a switch at the back door and use only batteries to run it. Is there a way I can do this? What kind of switch should I use? etc? I can wire it up easily just dont know what to use to do it all.

Its a 6X12 enclosed trailer so I will run the light strips along the frame at the top going east and west then wire at the end.

well...you'd need to mount a battery box somewhere and then maybe put a door pin switch on the back door so when you open the trailer the lights come on...if the only thing you're powering is the lights then a lawnmower battery would be plenty...just mount it towards the front to lessen the vibration it'll see... Of course it goes without saying to use a fuse near the battery. One other thing too is that if you plan to have the trailer open a lot and not want the lights on then wire a push button or toggle switch in line with the door pin switch so you can override it and the lights won't stay on...
