    Hose Rigging

the hose on my current boat is very hard plastic, it's scratching the heck out of my paint, and i need different options... i found this picture on here, is this the same material as what the rod socks are made out of?

All you need to do is cut the hose back on your rigging, It's too long. Cut it back from the motor side

Lmao, that's actually my boat :)
Yes, that is the same type of material as a rod sock, not really any better than the hard plastic though as this stuff will also scratch the boat. You can either trim your hose so it is shorter and doesn't touch or you can get a clear film from 3m called scotchcal that will protect your gelcoat. When the film gets nasty looking just take it off and put on a fresh sheet...

Or do like I did and get some heavy duty packing tape and put that down with the hose is rubbing, a lot cheaper
