    Galvanized trailer cleaning...

I asked in trailers and trucks but maybe this is the right place. What's the best thing to clean a galvanized trailer with to get that blackish crud off and what to use to keep it looking good. Thanks, this is not coming off very easy. Don't want to use anything to corrosive if possible.

not to sure anything will take it off...galv will stain and turn after a year or 2...i think the only thing you can do is have it redipped to look better...it will also build up what is called white rust...

that's not brackish crud, that's character

If it was aluminum you could polish it, but it would just turn again. Regular moderate polishing would keep an aluminum one nice...BTW I haven't polished mine at all..lol
