paint chipping on anti-cavitation plate? help

does anyone how I can paint or who I could have touch up a spot on my cavitation plate. it has chipped away about a 5 inch strip that is about an inch wide and it drives me nuts. A few more wot rides and it might be 10 inches long. Please help someone. Also is there anything out there to restore shiny black finish to my motor there are a few spots from the cowling down that are starting to look faded but I really think they just need some kind of strong cleaner and then wax I guess. It looks like it probably the heat from the motor and the sun that his that part of the motor when it's sitting at the house. Thanks all advice welcome.
    Have a great day

You should be able to get good quality touch up paint at the dealer and with a little sanding of the area with fine sandpaper to smooth out the area mask off any thing you dont want to get paint on and give it about 3 coats giving a few minutes between coats to allow it to tack up a little. The area that is just discolored you can get Mcguires swirl mark remover and try it.It is a ultra fine polish and does't remove much paint at all, unless it's dead but removes stains from paint real well.It works really good on black paint to give it that deep glossey finish.

+1. The only thing I would add is to use zinc-chromate primer on the bare spots.
