Okay thanks to the guys over on the Basscat board I am in the process of building a step system to climb in and out of the boat. This is still in the early stages, but I will tell you the piece of aluminum held me with no problem, and I am around 270 right now. The other step I bought from a company in Minnesota, Ve-Ve. Plans are to bevel the edges, round the corners, install non-slip strips, and a pole to help out.
Now here is my first attempt to post a picture, hopefully I will not get the dreaded red X.
