    Epoxy resin

I looking at putting together a list of things i will need to have for when i start me 1995 astro s-18b resto! i will be adding a deck insert and it will be made of wood. I need a good resin that i can use to coat all of the wood for the entire deck so it will be waterproof some what. I am also looking for a good company to deal with for padded under carpet. I currently dont have any carpet trim on my boat and would like to add some to keep the ends of my carpet from fraying, i saw on here where a guy use a door jam alum peice and turned out pretty good but looking for some other ideas. Any help would be great. Ill be sure to take alot of pictures when i start the resto .

Id use epoxy resin with self metering pumps easier way to go imo.

Dan, call joel at boat builder central in fl. He can give you an estimate and that is where i got my supplies from. They sell the product and will also give some pointers on using it. Depending on the temp. where your located and time of year you will need to factor the epoxy, whether it is slow, med., or fast cure. I'm guessing you will need min. 4 gallons total of the epoxy and hardener.
