    Sea cast

For you guys that have redone their transom with seacast how hard was it and what steps did yall take and what tips do y'all have for some one that is thinking about doing this. Im thinking about redoing my transom on my 92 skeeter. I want to do this because it's a lower price alternative to taking it to a shop. I'm located in Tx and if anybody in the Dallas fort worth area knows how or is willing to take on a job I will compensate for labor and of course buy materials.

the seacast seems to be great stuff you have to follow there procedures to a T
the cobra will be running by next weekend 2003 optimax 225 6" jack plate i think the seacast will hold just fine
i shot a 1-1/2" slab i formed with leftovers with a 22 rifle and it didnt go through went about 1/2" in then i used a 9mm pistol didnt go through went about 3/4" in from 30' away

    Re: Sea cast (Billy Hardy)

I did mine on a 93 Skeeter its not hard to do just takes time. I used Ar Jay its cheaper than Sea Cast and from everyone I talked to its a better product. You can most likely get Ar Jay local in Dallas at a fiberglass shop rather than order from Sea Cast and have to pay for shipping which is high. I only had to use 5 gallons which cost me around 200 with the hardener. I have a 17ft Skeeter if you have any more questions feel free to to IM me.
