    transom?wood or composite?

    I have 1999 nitro 896 savage I.D. buj18472c999, can anyone tell me for sure if it has a wood or composite transom?

    Wood.... 95% sure.

    From my understanding they started using composite in the 900 series in 2000.
    I have a 2000 882 it is wooden. I dare to say .....Most flat back boats have wooden transom.
    I had mine refurbished last winter.
