Here is a boat I bought about a month ago and are in the process of restoring. I already have the motor on a saw horse in my garage ready to go. Any help or suggestions would be great. Im in the process of taking out the foam and stringers.

Yeah there was a crack in the transom were the motor pushed through the transom. But it is fixed know,.

If I diddnt need it I would send it your way. I hope all is going to go as planned. Goal is to get it done by memorial day. Im lucky my fishing partner has a boat that doesn't have rot in it. Lol..

I sure am glad that the motor and transom were rebuilt on my '89 sf-175-dx before I got ahold of it.What you guys do is truly amazing.

Its an inboard boat, but this fella has alot of videos on his rebuild. Seems like alot of the info you can gather from them would be universal.

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I'm trying to finish up my old Skeeter. I mostly used a circular saw and a 4.5'' grinder with an abrasive blade. I did most of the rough cutting with the circular saw and then I went back and fine tuned the demo with the grinder. Watch your depth setting on your saw. I left a ridge of the old glass where the stringers and deck was for reference. I have a build thread here on the resto section. A wire wheel on your grinder makes quick work of the foam. But, it does make a mess!
Got the wood out of my transom with a variety of home made chisels. The really bad part I remover with a screwdriver and a shop vac.
