I used chissels, and a jab saw(for drywall), it worked well.

    Re: Foam FLoatation Removal (ranger230v)

The things I used were a 12" long wood blade on my sawzall and a chizel AND a claw hammer. along with a lot of sweat. The water was probably coming in where the top cap meets the bottom. I found that out as a friend of mine does glass for a living. He had done a friend's boat and discovered that fact. (because the top cap goes over not inside the bottom cap.)
After I had all the foam out I used an adhesive sealer from the inside (between the top and bottom cap. where they meet) to stop the water from coming in. While I was in there after pulling the tanks I reinforced the long stringers to the transom and drilled and sealed a drain hole where the back inside corner meets the tank well floor.
If you would like I think I have pics of the process that I can send, Good luck!

Stratos Gator. Pics would be cool. thought about doing same thing with drain holes but figured though it would drain, water would still get inside thus soaking the wood. ultimately it would rot. Im not a boat builder but that was my thought. Does your friend who does glass have any thoughts on that?

Use a stiff wire brush on an electric drill or grinder and a Shop Vac to remove the dust as it comes off.

I couldn't find any save all tools. I used a shovel for the major part of it and then just a scraper, wire brush on air tool, grinder..etc Good luck

Well got the foam out.. Never wanna do that again. Anyway, turns out breach under sitting deck. There were several cracks in floor and two fill holes where foam was added. Gonna tackle repairs this week
