    Can you post some pics so that we can see the extent of the damage?

    I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but if your knee braces are rotten, then it's highly likely that the stringers and/or transom is bad too.

    If your knee braces are bad then chances are that there is a lot more damage to be found.
