    Compounding and Polishing ?

How do you compound and polish the small areas that you cant get to with a regular 6" polisher? I am looking to get behind my hand rail and in the small groove along the sides of the topcap and in the corners of some indents on the stern of the boat. It looks dull (because I wetsanded these areas) and can I move to the polishing step and wax steps or should I try and shine them up. I tried a rag and elbow greese but havent seen much results. I did come accross mini polishing ball that you put on a drill. Would this work?

3M has a scratch removal kit for cars that comes with two 3" pads (compounding and polishing) and an attachment for a drill. I found it at walmart for $20. Autozone also carries the kit.

Mini polish ball from Wal-Mart. Does not do as good as a buffer but saves on your arms.
