Well today...I decided to start on my offseason carpet and seat job on my 97 Skeeter 185....
I removed all of the lids and started taking all of the hinges off the doors...Removed all of the latches as well(putting on new T handles)
All of the lids have a rubberized black back on the underneath side...I am assuming to deaden the sound and that it holds up better against mildew in the locker/storage/livewell.
Also, in the rod lockers there is a carpet piece on the underside of the door. It is covering a steel reinforcement piece. Instead of recarpeting this piece...I am thinking about just rhino lining it...there is also carpet in the locker itself...seems like a waste...maybe I will rhino line that too or find that rubberized material to line the locker...

Removed the carpet on the underneath and found steel.
Here is a pick of the rubberized material on the underneath side of one of the doors.
I found that the needle nose pliers are great to start pulling the carpet away off of the lips of the doors.
