Just added a deck extension to my boat. I am also redoing the carpet. Question, do I reuse the original brackets to reattach the lids, or do I buy new ones? If I do keep old ones, how do I remove the broken rivets from the bracket? I still have a lot to do, like get seats redone, windshield, and console dipped. But this is a start.

Just drill them out. Use the same size bit as rivet. example 1/8th rivet needs a 1/8th bit.
how much was that? i need one.
Any build specifics on the extension? Wood or glass? How did you support? Rail or floor supports? Removable? If not, did you lose all that volume for storage? Any build pics before the extension was installed? Thanks

On the broken rivets use a pair of heavy duty snip pliers and cut the rivets out. I had a 350V years ago when i tried to drill out the rivets they just turned and made bracket holes larger. I snipped the old rivets out and reused the original brackets.
That motor on the back, what kind of speed on gps are you getting? Heard the early faststrikes and intruders that were not detuned hauled butt...
