    Scratches...

    What is the best way to restore scratches on a boats gel coat?

    Depends on how much work you want to do on them.

    Colored Sharpie markers to match your gelcoat are a really quick, inexspensive way to hide light scratches.

    or

    You if they are light enough, and not thru the gelcoat, you can wetsand them with 1000/1200 grit then rubbing compound and wax.

    or

    If they are actually thru the gelcaot and into the glass, they will have to be filled with matching gelcoat and then sanded smooth.
